For this Resort 2024 collection, Alberta Ferretti honoured the region that influenced her by acknowledging the severe flooding that occurred in Emilia-Romagna.

Alberta Ferretti showcased her unwavering dedication to empowering women by unveiling a fresh interpretation of her signature romantic and passionate style. Her Resort 2024 collection seamlessly melded tangible and ethereal components, drawing inspiration from the intricate psyche of women. The ethereal garments displayed in the collection resembled cherished artefacts of self-expression, evoking the frames of a captivating cinematic experience.
“While I travel a lot, while I am a curious woman, I always like to come back home. It is a place I consider ‘my island’, filled with vibrancy, welcoming individuals, and a true sense of camaraderie. There is also beautiful nature, there is the sea, there are the hills. I often take the car, go for a ride, go to the hills, and fill my mind with beautiful things. Nature is a stimulus,” said the designer from Romagna to Ansa during the event.
Alberta Ferretti found inspiration in the city of Rimini when selecting a colour palette for her designs. The colours she chose ranged from the peaceful beige of sandy beaches to the warm earthy browns reminiscent of castle stones. Additionally, she drew upon the vibrant greens, and tranquil blues mirroring the sky and meadows, and the fiery red shades found in captivating sunsets that adorn the city.

The Alberta Ferretti woman effortlessly adorns herself in an array of fashion-forward pieces, including elongated vests, flowing trousers, ethereal trench coats, and zippered blouses. Suede skirts, lightweight blouses, and elegant coats also find their place in her wardrobe. As evening falls, she embraces her inner femme fatale, enveloping herself in long, shimmering capes.
Throughout the Resort collection, a captivating fusion of sophistication and strength resonates. The ensembles gracefully embrace weightless fabrics like chiffon, washed silks, reverse satin, and iridescent taffeta. Infusing resilience into the collection, metallic printed denim and sumptuous suede make their presence felt. Furthermore, whimsical embroideries elevate the garments to new heights of elegance.

As the models gracefully made their way across the mirrored runways in the square, it was a spectacle to behold at the Castel Sismondo. The entire setting was brought to life by enchanting projections of Fellini’s iconic films, creating a mesmerizing ambience. The clever use of mirrors gave the illusion that the models were walking on water, adding an ethereal touch to the scene. Accompanied by the captivating soundtrack of Fellini’s masterpiece “8 1/2” from 1963, the entire experience took on a truly cinematic quality. Alberta Ferretti, the visionary designer, said “The collection isn’t based on Fellini as a style. It’s the dream of Fellini. Rimini and this region are very romantic, and very dreamy. I want to dedicate the collection to this area because the people who know this area know that there’s a way of life that’s very unusual. They’re dreamers, and they’re very generous.”
In a heartwarming finale, the runway welcomed 32 local volunteers who tirelessly supported those affected by the recent floods. These remarkable individuals graced the catwalk adorned in Alberta Ferretti’s “Io ci sono” (I am here) sweater. The proceeds from the sale of these pieces will be donated to charitable organizations, providing vital assistance to the emergency relief efforts in Emilia Romagna.
