From blue eye makeup to braided faux-hawks, Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week 2022 revealed some of the most iconic fashion and beauty looks.
We have seen some of the most dramatic beauty look moments during Paris Haute Couture Week and they did not disappoint at all. Each season, designers showcase their collections, but it’s not just about the clothes. It’s also about make-up and hairstyle.
This season, designers brought beauty moments on the runways. Some of them have been subtler, while others, a bit extravagant – and specially created for those people who like extravagance, art and glamour. Think then of designers like Elie Saab and his iridescent coat of shimmering scales and the fuchsia-colored cheeks seen at Viktor & Rolf.
From heavenly skin to braids, fashion brands like Chanel and Iris Van Harpen have sported incredible braided hairstyles as well as the subtle but shimmering silver eye makeup seen on Fendi runway.
Moreover, the boldest and bravest statements have been in the form of eye details, hairstyles and even exaggerated nails. Armani Privé has worn its models with smoky eyes. Iris Van Herpen has reigned supreme with her larger-than-life appliqués, giving new meaning to the term “nails with personality”. And, of course, let’s not forget Schiaparelli’s striking red lips or the quilted “gym lips” from the Zuhair Murad show.
From bleached eyebrows to fluo lashes, here are some of the best beauty looks from Paris Haute Couture Week.
Iris Van Harpen
At Iris van Herpen, a combination of bright eye appliqués and on-trend bleached brows made the latest statement, along with the futuristic theme of the collection.
Viktor & Rolf
A three-dimensional, brightly colored version is where Viktor&Rolf is at, with bright red lips paired with icy blue shadow and pink-covered lashes.
The brief was clear at Fendi: clean, classic and flawless skin accentuated subtly with a silver
lining over the lids.
Nothing complements a nude-looking makeup vibe than an absolute hair moment. And that’s what we got from the Alexis Mabelle runway, where stylists applied sequins in the space between the models’ braids.
Tiny braided details adorned a model’s hairline on the Elie Saab runway.
At Zuhair Murad, they recreate the “gym lip” look by lining your lips with a nude liner that matches your natural color and covering it with a balm.
For Schiaparelli’s haute couture show, Pat McGrath opted for a striking red lip makeup, translucent eyebrows and smokey eye shadow.
Chanel’s makeup artists gave the skin a soft and smooth look. Then came the fun part. Bold eyes and rough contouring gave the looks in this show a certain edge and modernity.
