Metallics ruled the red carpet at the 2024 Grammys, almost from the very first moment.

After a weekend of star-studded parties, the biggest entertainers in the biz are decked out and filling the Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena for the grandest music event of the year. The ceremony, which kicked off at 8 p.m. EST with Trevor Noah serving as host, aired on CBS. As usual the nominees list is epic. It includes SZA who has the most nominations (nine!), as well as Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift, who have six nominations each.

Always one of the most fun – and most adventurous – red carpets of the year, this year’s attendees stepped out in some seriously beautiful custom designs, from Gucci and Courrèges to Celine and Versace. With highly decorated hitmakers like Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, SZA, Jon Batiste, and Janelle Monáe all in attendance, personal style took centre stage. From bedazzled, shimmering details to vintage-inspired looks to the elegance of nailing the perfect fit, the Grammys 2024 red carpet showcased a number of unexpected looks from artists, producers, and everyone in between. It’s always an interesting red carpet, bringing together a mix of participants from all parts of the music industry and delivering fashion in all its forms.

Boygenius, Laufey, and Paramore won during the Grammys Premiere Ceremony, which was occurred at the Peacock Theatre before the main event. “Barbie” won two Grammys: one for best visual media compilation soundtrack and another for best song composed for visual media. The latter was accepted by artists Finneas O’Connell and Billie Eilish for their work on “What Was I Made For?” The Grammy for best scoring music for visual media was also won by composer Ludwig Göransson for “Oppenheimer.”

Following closely behind SZA’s nominations, three artists garnered seven nominations each: Victoria Monét, Phoebe Bridgers (six of those nominations for her work with Boygenius and one for a collaboration with SZA), and mixing engineer Serban Ghenea. Swift, Rodrigo, Eilish, Cyrus, Batiste, Boygenius, Brandy Clark, and producer Jack Antonoff each received six nominations.
