The Key Men’s Fashion Trends for 2022

Check out the men’s fashion trends of Spring/Summer 2022.

Hermès SS22’ Menswear.

For the past two seasons, designers have been forced to think creatively about how to showcase their collections: some designers like JW Anderson relied on the lookbook format, while others like Balenciaga tried video. Although many have decided to continue on this new path, the Spring/Summer 2022 season saw the great comeback of physical shows, a breath of fresh air in the fashion industry.

Spring/Summer 2021 menswear collection was full of freedom and hope, with colourful pieces, eclectic suits, voluminous (couture), joggers and comfort-focused extra-wides. In 2022, most fashion brands and designers around the world are showing new styles in response to the pandemic we’ve been living.

For this season, there was the emergence of a new formality through effortless officeear along with the hegemony of the colour black. There were also designs specially created to reconnect with the social life we’ve been missing for the past two years: jumpsuits, vibrant colours and party boy looks. Moreover, and equally as important, designers introduce pieces that are traditionally feminine into the heart of the male wardrobes, such as crop-tops, cutouts, or heels.

Check out the biggest 7 Spring-Summer 2022 Menswear:

CUT OUTS

Rick Owens SS22’

For this season, Rick Owens unveiled their men’s collections and dare us to wear less. One of the fashion statements of summer 202 was indeed the cutout pieces.

Between scissor cuts, holes, indentations, and straps, a new concept of masculinity is being brought forth by designers this season.

SHOWING SKIN

Dsquared2 SS22’

DSquared2 proposes transparent pieces for the Spring/Summer 2022 collections, between the lace details, sheer fabrics, and bold indiscretion of the pieces.

EASY SUITING

Giorgio Armani SS22’

The urban formal suit is always in fashion, but this season the suit takes on an even more relaxed style. This does not detract from its elegance; the slouchy suit is less rigorous, more elastic, and comfortable without sacrificing style. It is a celebration of unstructured suits, which does not abandon the silhouette overall.

BRIGHT COLOURS

Jil Sander SS22’

Jil Sander brings us colour on their latest fashion designs. Most brands are keen on experimenting with a mixture of vivid colours and patterns, from pastel to fluorescent. For those who aren’t ready to push their limits yet, there’s still the option to incorporate a pop of colour in an otherwise neutral outfit.

BLACK AND WHITE

Courrèges SS22’

Courrèges is keen on combining these two contrasting colours in their designs. Black and White are truly making a comeback, and nothing could be more elegant. Simplicity can be expected in this colour palette, but more daring wearers can bring black-and-white to new levels with a little experimentation.

DUST COATS

Bally SS22’

Bally proposes the large, light, and casual: the dust coat, inspired by the trench coat, the peacoat, and the parka. It is specially designed to face any climatic event with style.

JUMPSUITS

Sacai SS22’

Fashion brand Sacai proposes once again the jumpsuits. They are making a big comeback this season, and we almost forgot about it. Most of the time jumpsuits are inspired by the workwear outfit, but this time the jumpsuit goes from the oversized utilitarian style to the regressive short version.
