The supermodel is front and center for the latest Versace campaign, modelling the Italian label’s new Spring-Summer 2023 collection.
Supermodel Emily Ratajkowski has been chosen to star in Versace’s latest Spring-Summer 2023 campaign. In the brand’s press release, creative director Donatella Versace states that she has been the perfect woman to front her latest campaign. “The Versace woman is strong, purposeful, and always the leader of the pack. This season, I love her in black or bold colours and powerful silhouettes,” Emily also took to social media to share the news, posting “Thank you @donatella_versace for this incredible honour. There really are no words. Being the face of Versace has always been a dream of mine and I had to continually pinch myself on set to make sure I was actually there”.
The American supermodel, author, and activist brings the Spring-Summer 2023 collection to life, displaying Versace’s apparel essentials paired with statement accessories. In the campaign, we can see Emily and models Faaby Fall, Wang Fei, Mika Santos, Iva Varvarchuk, and Lulu Wood. Emily exudes charm and magnetic luxury, posing in a series of glamorous outfits. For the latest Versace Spring-Summer 2023 collection, the brand takes into account three words as inspiration for the campaign: “slash”, “impulsive”, “enhanced”, and “gothic”.
Captured by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, the campaign perfectly shows what the entire label is about: elegant, classic, glamorous pieces worn by strong women. In charge of styling, Jacob K, with creative direction from Kevin Tekinel and Charles Levai, set design by Andrea Cellerino and casting direction by Piergiorgio Del Moro. Beauty by hair stylist Jawara, and makeup artist Isamaya French.
The Versace Spring-Summer 2023 collection offers in-trend Y2K-inspired denim, gorgeous gowns, and more. There is also the iconic Greca Goddess bag worn by Emily Ratajkowski, combining the modern elegance and traditional luxury of the fashion brand. The Greca Goddess Bag is a unique design created using the finest of materials, adorned with burnished gold hardware. The Repeat bag also takes centre stage in the campaign, as the supermodel highlights the design by pairing it with a purple dress.
For the photo shoot, the supermodel tries on a purple dress with low-cut legs paired with a matching veil, gloves and stilettos. It turns into a definitely gorgeous wedding dress. The collection also includes leather jackets, skirts, cargo pants and, of course, the Greca Goddess Bag, which In the campaign, is seen in a dark orchid colour and black. The outfit is complemented by platform shoes and pointed-toe knee-high boots.
Having posed for the Italian house before in the Biggie eyewear campaign, it’s clear that Emily Ratajkowski fits Donatella Versace’s vision of a Versace goddess. “I have always loved a rebel, a woman who is confident, smart, and a little bit of a diva,” said Donatella Versace in a press release.
The creative director also shared a cute image of her and Emily, stating “@emrata you made this campaign set so much fun. I loved seeing you bring this collection to life. I love you.”
